Stop 3 - OG Collective-Hawthorne, Salem OR
Hello again my fine stoner friends. Ever have the question of where should I buy some fine cannabis from? Well, that’s what I’m here for. To get down in the trenches, find new dispensaries, and check them out, all for you, my stoner peeps. So let’s get to it!
The OG Collective has 3 locations in Salem, I recently visited the Hawthorne branch. It was my first time since they had upgraded their showroom. They moved from one side of their building to the other, and probably tripled the size. Before it was pretty cramped with 3 customers there, now there’s room galore to wander around and check out the displays. They have a nice new station with magnifying containers with a few buds of each strain, a nice touch that I haven’t seen before. There was a nice variety of strains, mostly hybrids, with a couple of strains of pure sativa or indica. Most of them were from their own farm, which was nice. Prices are good, I picked up a ¼ of Chemdog for $30 and an ⅛ of Blue Dream for $24, both from different farms. Really liking the Blue Dream, very tasty. They have a nice selection of concentrates, prices range from $20 for .5 G vape cartridge up to $60 for a gram of shatter. Their edible selection is probably one of the biggest I have seen so far, all priced around $15. The only downfall of this spot could be the location. It’s behind a porn shop and also an underage strip club… So depending on which driveway you enter, you stand the chance of looking a little pervy, lol. I always go the longer route, so people know I’m a stoner, not a perv lol. (Jokes people, jokes. No judgement on whatever establishment you like to go to.)
All in all, I would have to give them 4 out of 5 Bong Hits. Location is shady, but the storefront is a definite upgrade from just a few months ago. Can’t go wrong with hitting up this spot when in Salem.

Have you tried the Dr. Who? My brother claims it to be one of the smoothest highs, and one of his favorites. I live in WA and when I found that particular strain here, it was…Washington cannabis, so it was not up to the high standards I’ve seen in Oregon. I’ll have to make a trip south one of these weekends.
I’ve heard good things about the Chem Dog, so now I’ll have to try out that Blue Dream!
